This program is a 15 day condensed version of the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B training program with specialized instruction with an instructor who has over 30 years of driver training experience.

The course includes the following:

• In-classroom instruction, after which the student will be prepared to take the written exam through the NJMVC to obtain their permit. Testing will be scheduled as part of the program.
• Behind the Wheel Training
• Road Testing with vehicle provided

IMPORTANT NOTE: This program is for 15 days only. The schedule for in classroom instruction and behind the wheel instruction can be found here: 2024-25 DTF Training Calendar. A road testing date will be determined at a later date.

The following prerequisites MUST be met to attend class:

• Must be 21 years of age
• Must have a valid NJ Drivers License for 3 years
• Have no more than 2 points on Drivers License Abstract
• Must be drug and alcohol free
• Must NOT be Insulin Diabetic (Pill form is acceptable)
• Blood Pressure must not be more than 140/90
• Corrected vision must be 20/40 in both eyes (blind in one eye is NOT acceptable)

This program is a 7 week Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B training program, which includes Passenger, Air Brakes, Tank, HazMat, and “S” endorsements as well as additional specialized instruction with an instructor who has over 30 years of driver training experience.

• Safety Awareness for Special Education School Bus Drivers
• Defensive Driving Training
• Assertive Discipline/Safety Training
• Tutoring
• Road Testing with vehicle provided
  • Date and time determined at a later date
